Neil S. Faden is a Co-Founder of Faden Patel Christensen & Dalton PLLC and a veteran community development finance lawyer whose practice sits at the intersection of structured finance, investment funds and tax-advantaged capital.
For more than two decades, Neil has advised community development entities, institutional investors, lenders, borrowers and fund sponsors on New Markets Tax Credit transactions. His work spans CDE and fund structures, leveraged financings, project-level investments, compliance matters, restructurings and exits, as well as renewable energy and other tax credit financings.
Neil also brings broad corporate and securities experience to the practice, including the organization and capitalization of collective investment vehicles and financing platforms. That perspective helps him address not just individual deal documents, but the architecture of capital and the way multiple counterparties fit together.
Before co-founding FPCD, Neil led Manatt’s impact investing and community development practice.
“Neil is most effective where tax-credit rules, fund structures and deal economics all need to work at the same time.”
